This is the first in a series of volumes
dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of reptilian parasites and is
the first attempt to summarize all contemporary knowledge about protozoa
in one place. Information is presented in annotated outline form for
quick reference. Chapters are divided by phyla and include descriptions
of the most recently recognized parasitic protozoa of reptiles; their
hosts, host locations, and modes of transmission are given, as well as
their life cycles when known. The text also includes a chapter on
laboratory procedures for the herpetoculturist and a bibliography of
approximately 250 references.
